Hi, I'm Nikolay Blokhin I build the cool things with Python and Swift

Changing the server time zone

Before we start, I answer the question "How to check which time zone in Linux?". It's just the one command:

date +%Z
or
more /etc/timezone

Now we know what we have, so lets change this time zone to the new:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

You will see an interactive wizard, in which select your "Geographic area" and "Time zone". And it's all :)

P.S. If you have some cron jobs, do not forget restart it:

/etc/init.d/cron stop
/etc/init.d/cron start
